Scripture: "Arise--shine--your light has come! For the glory of the Lord is risen upon you." (Isaiah 60:1)
Scripture: "Whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive if you have faith." (Matthew 21:22)
Scripture: "By His stripes we are healed." (1 Peter 2:24)
Scripture: "If You are willing, You can make me clean. Jesus put His hand on the man and said, 'I AM willing. Be cleansed." (Matthew 8:2-3)
Scripture: Here is the secret: The Gospel of grace has made you all into co-heirs of His promise through your union with Him. And you have now become members of His body--one with the Anointed One." (Ephesians 2:6)
Dear Friends of God,
May every grace and spiritual blessing be yours now and forever. I've been praying for you, our families, our country and world right now. How far we are away from the John 17 prayer of Jesus that, "they all be one." We have talked about so many things through the last months of Ballistic Breakthrough. Now it's time to focus on stepping into the power for breakthrough. It's so important to have the teaching, but at some point, we need to heed the words of a wise Mother Boniface, co-foundress of the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity. "You have enough spirituality. Now go and give it away!" No truer words...
Jesus tells us to come as children or we will miss the Kingdom. Could that be because we can get so stuck in our heads that we miss the main thing? The main thing was His great commission. In Matthew 10, He tells His disciples to GO....go heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. A simple directive. As My followers, go do what I did. I'm leaving you here to keep My mission going. And this is My mission. Now go do it! It was not a suggestion. It was a command. He didn't tell them to go pray for people. He told them to go heal, cleanse and get people freedom. He would never have commanded that without equipping them with what they needed. And these folks had had 3 1/2 years of an on the job school of supernatural ministry. Under Jesus' anointing, they'd learned that they could do all those things that Jesus did. BUT...things were about to change. Jesus was going back to His Father and they would now need their own anointing.
Most people think that words like these were Jesus' last words to His disciples. In actuality, His last words before He ascended are found in Acts 1: 3-8. Acts 1: 3 says that Jesus spent 40 days with his disciples proving with many convincing signs that He had been resurrected. He taught them many truths of the Kingdom during these 40 days. I'm pretty sure Jesus was trying to solidify the important things in the minds of His disciples. He'd experienced their infidelity and cowardice. Don't you wonder what He was saying?! But the VERY last thing He said can seem unusual to us. He didn't tell them to GO. He told them to WAIT. He's commissioned these people, taught them for 40 days, done all kinds of cool signs and wonders, given them an opportunity to practice under His anointing, gotten them all revved up and then tells them to wait! REALLY?! "Jesus instructed them, 'Don't leave Jerusalem, but wait here until you receive the gift I told you about, the gift that the Father has promised. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit. He has been with you, but now, He will be IN you...I promise you, the Holy Spirit will come upon you and you will receive power. (Some translations say, 'You will seize power,' or 'You will be seized with power.') And you will be My witnesses to Jerusalem, throughout Judea and to the remotest places on earth.'" And not only would power be released, but the Supernatural "Dot Connector," the third person of the Trinity, would make everything make sense to the apostles. Finally, they would "get" everything Jesus had been telling them and demonstrating for them these last 3 years. And they needed to "get it," because now they had to be commissioned to go DO it!
In other words, He was telling them that they were not ready to go and be any kind of witness (hint: in their own strength they'd displayed a phenomenal lack of courage and character during His Passion!). They needed the gift of the Holy Spirit not only to display the miracles and power of Jesus, but also the supernatural boldness and courage and wisdom to stand in the midst of misunderstanding, persecution, hate, imprisonment and all the rest. He was saying, "My dear friends, you're going to be eaten for lunch if you try to do any of this in your own strength. Do yourselves a favor. In your own strength you are train wrecks! WAIT until you receive the Holy Spirit. Only then can you make a difference for Me. You are about to be absolutely unstoppable for the Kingdom and your new normal will be seeing Heaven come to earth over and over. That's My plan!"
Now for that to happen, Jesus, confined to a human body, had to go back to the Father. Only then could He come back in Spirit form and live in each one of us. He told his disciples, "When I promise to never leave you (John 14:16), it's because I'll be IN you! We'll be inseparable as you learn to abide in Me, and to stay awake to My presence in you. We have so much to do. And when you house the King, ALL the resources of heaven are available to you because the Kingdom of God is WITHIN you." (Like 17:21) Friends, this is astounding. The Kingdom of God is within YOU, and within me...because the King lives in us. So, when I say that we owe the world an encounter with Jesus, we should not be saying, "Oh I wish I could." We should be saying, "Jesus, I give You full permission to use me. I can't wait to unleash You on my world! Let's do this!"
"The things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine, THESE are the many things God has in store for all His lovers." (1 Corinthians 2:9) We most often hear the translation, "Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, what God has ready for those who love Him." Did you know this is one of the most common scriptures used at funerals? But this is meant for the living! Mark 1:15 says, "The Kingdom of God is at hand. (It's here---accessible right now.) Repent (from the Greek word metanoia, meaning change the way you think) and believe the Gospel." Take God at His Word. And believe EVERY Word is for YOU.
People of God, you are all seeking Ballistic Breakthrough. You've been on this journey because you are hungry for MORE of God. As an eternal student, I encourage you to keep studying, keep that beautiful hunger for learning. But at some point, you just have to get out of the boat! As Bill Johnson says, "Water is longing to be walked on again." This morning my daughter told me that 2 of my grandsons said that Annie never talks about anything real. You know, all that love and Jesus being your superpower and stuff. I had to laugh. I'm currently staring at the ocean wondering what they're going to say when Annie cruises on top of those waves!! My goddaughter, not more than 5, prayed for her sister's eczema yesterday and she was healed. Scripture is clear. "The darker it gets, the more grace is poured out." (Romans 5:20) I join St. Therese in saying, "I WANT IT ALL!"
In the next day or two we're going to talk about not settling for powerless theology. Then we'll dive into healing. Is it little faith that blocks God's healing, or is it lots of doubt? What do we need to do to breakthrough everything that hinders us? Let's start with "taking every thought captive in obedience to Christ." (2 Corinthians 10:5) What does HE say is possible? Then make a decision to believe Him! Let's give Jesus everything He paid for. Why would we settle for anything less? "Arise--shine--your light has come, for the glory of the Lord is risen upon you!" (Isaiah 60:1)
Declaration: In the name of Jesus Christ, I release a spirit of revelation and wisdom over you. I thank you, Lord, for releasing a fresh anointing, a fresh stirring of the Holy Spirit, and I say that everyone reading this will be infused with Jesus' eyes to see and His Heart to love. Holy Spirit, I ask You to release Your fire to bring the Kingdom here and now, and supernatural courage to stand against whatever darkness we are called to face in Jesus' name. WE can't turn down the darkness, but we can turn up the light! We carry the One who is ALL light. In Him there is NO darkness. (1 John 1:5) We decree that we carry the living God and all the resources of the Kingdom are within us, because the King is within us. We live to release the Him into our worlds. And we live to take back what the enemy has stolen, in Jesus' name. We are empowered, equipped, and fired up to co-partner with the King of Kings. And He is fired up to co-partner with us! All praise and glory to the Father who created us, the Son who redeemed us and the Holy Spirit who sanctifies us...now and forever!
I just love you people! Let's keep each other in prayer. It's about to be SO MUCH FUN!
